FIRST FAMILY CHILDCARE AND PRESCHOOL
In early September 1996, First Baptist Church, acting upon the vision of the Church Council and following a feasibility study, commissioned the establishment of a non-profit Christian child care center. First Family Child Care Center is licensed by the Tennessee Department of Human Resources. First Family has also been awarded a "Three Star" accreditation by exceeding the standards established by the State.
The objective of First Family is to provide care and development of each enrolled child spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially. This is to be accomplished by providing learning and developmental experiences consistent with Christian principles.
First Family's purpose is to provide children and their parents with the following opportunities:
For Children:
-To develop confidence in themselves as unique persons.
"I'm somebody special because God made me so."
-To relate lovingly and with respect toward others.
-To engage in creative activities, both individually and as a group.
-To develop physical skills through exercise and guided play activities.
-To develop good mental, emotional, and nutritional health.
-To develop the foundation for Christian faith through Bible stories and songs.
For Parents:
-To further develop understanding of their children as they share with concerned
child care providers.
-To be able to be confident in the knowledge that their children are entrusted to the
care of well trained, loving, Christian child care providers.
We accept children from ages of 6 weeks to 12 years old. We offer full-time, part-time, as well as preschool hours of 8 am - 11 am. We also offer an after-school program. We are open from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday-Friday.
